A Shelter on the Beach

You gather a couple of small, fallen trees, some limbs, and big leaves to assembly a small tent-like structure on the sandy beach. You can feel the heat reflecting off the sand and the more you sweat, the thirstier you get. Unfortunately, while you are finishing your structure, you suddenly notice that the waves are quickly moving up the beach and before long, your shelter is swallowed by the water. You are thirsty. You have wasted important time and have made your first bad choice.

You still need a shelter, so where do you build it?
